Twice now while I have been driving the gearbox or selector has seized up solid, all I have been able to do is depress the clutch and freewheel to the side of the road. Both times it has been in town when I was driving very slowly. As soon as I come to a stop I am able to select a gear and carry on. Any ideas anyone please FL2 HSE Sumatra black with body kit |

Both me and SWMBO had this happen on our previous manual, it seems there is a solenoid on the gearbox to prevent you accidently selecting reverse, if it gets triggered it will lock the selectors and you have to come to a stop for it to reset it. This happened to us shortly after we bought it and this is what we were told at the dealer, may have been but it sounded feasable, is it possible as you were going steady in traffic not giving it full concentration and triggered the solenoid |
