Stratstone Cardiff - What a nightmare

What a nightmare from start to finish Evil or Very Mad

Car not ready on time, nobody returns your calls and emails.

So many broken promises Evil or Very Mad

Tried to speak to the dealer principle who couldn't get me off the phone quick enough and then no contact from him since.

Had a call from LR head office last week to say they had logged my comment card onto the system. When I asked if anyone had looked at it she said she didn't know this was just a courtesy call Evil or Very Mad

Anybody have email details for Landrover, Stratstone, and Pendragon head office?

Don't normally do letters of complaint but after this I feel the need to get it off my chest to hopefully someone who will listen Thumbs Up MY11 Freelander 2 Sport LE Fuji White

I doubt if they will bother to reply, fraid to say it seems to be common throughout the Stratstone Group, to big to bother is the impression they give. The one near me is just as bad, unless you know exactly what you want and are willing to go in (by appointment) give them the order and walk out and wait for the delivery that is as far as they want to go.

The only way to get there attention is to STOP buying from them, as soon as sales start to drop they will listen. I will never buy from any part of the pendragon group total s**t.

I wouldnt touch stratstone with a barge pole. I got a disco 2 from them. They didnt fix the things they said they would and when I tried to speak to them about it didnt even get an answer after the receptionist. Had a follow up call from them a while ago seeing how things had gone (survey type thing) and I let rip at them. All I got was the usual ''sorry you were not happy sir'' but didnt hear anything other than that. I would not touch them ever again. No matter what.

The only dealings I have had with Stratstone Cardiff is the purchase of my FL2 last August. It was a 3 yr old car. No problems with them then but, as I was buying, I wouldn't expect any.

As mentioned above, they then kept phoning me to arrange a service until I got really angry with them. They serviced it when I bought it so they should have been aware that it was not due. My dilema now I have read the above is that I had intended to have a service in the next month or so, although it has only done 9,000 mls since the last one but who do I take it to?

I can only speak as I find, my first ever visit to a Stratstone (in Hull). I had a rear side door seal unstuck for a few centimetres and they replaced complete front to back, friendly, courteous and helpful, also the car was fully valeted on return. Thumbs Up
In fact they were so friendly I thought sex was on the cards. Laughing

Thanks Stu, may consider them and wondered what they were like with modern LRs. I have used Promec for various repairs in the past but they always seem over-run with work and take days to finish a job.

They are excellent with modern vehicles. Have seen more and more brand new vehicles being serviced by them too!! Previous owner of;

I think there's quite a few garages in the market place that give you all but their shirt to buy one of their vehicles. Once they go wrong (and they are out of manufacturers warranty) they dont want to know. Stratstone in Newport being one of them.

I'm guessing that the sales man is paid on some form of profit in the vehicle. If it goes wrong, and if this costs money, then theoretically the sales man isn't due the figure they've received in their pay packet for that month.

Could be wrong though....could be as simple as bad manners and poor customer service???
