Home > General > Aux (iPod) input socket - plug snapped off |

I'm not overly impressed with the position of the aux input socket in the FL2, i.e. oriented vertically and in the area between the front seats where kids are regularly clambering through. It took about a month before a jackplug got snapped off in the socket .

I'd be tempted to use a pin with a large head/small nail and a tiny amount of contact adhesive to join it to the broken plug. once carefully applied and fully bonded use a pair of pliers. Antone else??

i am presuming its not protruding out of the socket enough for you to grab it with a set of pincers

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like the rear audio controls do pop out, although those instructions don't really show how. I'll see if I can work it out, then try the super-glue trick - could take some explaining if that goes wrong

I'm still (intermittently) struggling with this. I have tried the superglue approach, and tweezers, but still can't get the offending item out of the socket.
