England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

I'm getting around 5 mpg more with the MY11 TD4 manual than I was with the MY07 TD4 manual, although still not up to the figure claimed by Land Rover

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Ipanema Sand

Further thoughts:

- if the model you go for doesn't include the winter pack (heated screen, seats, washer) as standard, it's well worth it as an extra (particularly where you are!)

- IMO the HSE is not good value unless you really really really want the sunroof

- don't go for black. Apart from the fact it makes you look like Russian mafia, the FL2 doesn't suit that colour Whistle

- don't go for white. Apart from the fact that people will think you're a hairdresser Whistle your risk of being crashed into in the winter is massively increased

-side steps are unnecessary on the FL2 - only order them if you want the bling effect Brian

MY11 FL2 SD4 GS
Extras to same spec as XS apart from the Satnav, plus Xenons.
Ipenema Sand, Ebony.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

The hse I had for a whole weekend demo was doing 30.4 mpg and that was being quite careful on the right foot.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

I had a MY11 LE 150bhp loan car today and drove c.110 miles while my MY10 HSE 160bhp was in for a service on a mix of roads. The loaner seemed faster and nippier than my own, (both auto) confirmed by a member of staff at the dealers. I have not driven the SD4 so cannot compare....Not too keen on the bling and missed sunroof, electric seats, Dab/6 cd changer and autodim rear view mirror. liked the colour, Firenze Red, shame it has been discontinued. Tempted by a D4......but dealer says not as much fun in the city.......JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

How did you manage a weekend demo, neither dealer I went too would even let me out alone.
I am also a bit pee'ed off that both said Firenze red was a non starter and there are Firenze models coming through, even a used one on LR used cars?

Paul
