Probably a good question to be answered by Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear Team.

It is mentioned on the link below that the roof is good for 75 kg.

75 kg is for a moving vehicle - has anyone put a tend on top of their LR2? |

I'd hardly think you would put 75kg on a roof without rails so I would say roof rails that are attached to the roof. |

My thinking is that it states "Max Roof Load" for a FL2 - but the rails/bars are an extra. Therefore I wondered whether "Max Roof Load" was on the actual roof itself before it would dip/buckle. 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

No, 75kg is the maximum, read all the thread and Landrovers reply to a member states 75kg. The mention of dynamic/static is not mentioned anywhere in the Owners Manual and that post is pure speculation. |
