Amazing. well worth the extra $$. I use it every morning now and have tossed my window scraper in the can! I even had a major rock chip that i had repaired with no effect to the wiring.....wheew

This is the first car I had with heated windscreen and found it really useful - no more scrapping.

Noticed that a couple 'lines' of frost still remained on the driver's side. Suspected a few heating elements to be faulty. Took it to the dealers for some other work and happened to mention this - now I'm getting a new windscreen! Thumbs Up

I suggest people should check their heated windscreens at delivery for such faults. Easier to do so in winter but don't know how it can be done for summer deliveries.

A bowl of near boiling water or a few cups of coffee on the dashboard will soon steam up the windscreen, then switch on the Heated Windscreen and watch for any lines that don`t clear!
My screen had 3 or 4 30 - 40 mm wide strips of non functioning elements so has been changed under warranty. BUT the replacement still has 3 or 4 single elements not working. This is hardly a problem as the adjacent elements soon clear the area but I have put in writing that the new screen is not 100% right and that, if it deteriorates further I`ll be after another replacement. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!
