To Waxoil or not to Waxoil?

I remember my dad applying this stuff liberally to the underside of a new ford cortina back in the day.

Is it worth doing to my new freely?

hey scoster,

I've just picked up my new FL2 & there was an offer from the dealer regarding Waxoil.

This was just for the bodywork paint (not underside) and as long as the car wasn't washed, then the dealer advised there was no need for another waxing / waxoiling for 12m. Just wash down with plain water.

PS - how do you do the underside - do you put it on a ramp ?
