Looking to buy a dog guard. Other than if the seats are folded, are there any other advantages (or disadvantages) of the full dog guard compared to the top half only one?

I can recommend the Travall guard, you can put the rear seat down with it fitted, you still use the load space cover (if you have one)

Thanks guys. This is the one I'm thinking of getting - but wanted to be sure there are no disadvantages to it or other significant advantages to having the full one! So... does anyone have a Travall (or equivalent) dog guard they no longer want?! I'll post a 'wanted'. |

Buy a cheap top half extendable one, twist the two poles and they will easily come off, raise the two outer headrests and use a short bungee hook strap between the headrest bars.

Nice idea - but the car is actually for Mrs Calcul@tor, and any mention of the word 'cheap' will be frowned on for her new toy! So, I think I'll try to find a good used Travall or resort to buying new - about £80 delivered on 'the bay' unless anyone knows anywhere else that will do them cheaper? |

We have a Spring and we tend to go walking in around the N York Moore'sand the local Woodlands all year round, and he tends to get quite dirty and wet, the K9 box is great, even the Mrs likes it as she can put the weekly shoping it and it doesn't fall over so big bonus there

Agreed. Training your dog to stay in the boot is way cheaper Brian MY11 FL2 SD4 GS Extras to same spec as XS apart from the Satnav, plus Xenons. Ipenema Sand, Ebony. |
