Looking to buy a dog guard. Other than if the seats are folded, are there any other advantages (or disadvantages) of the full dog guard compared to the top half only one?

I'm not bothered about 'protecting' the back of the seats from the dog! Really just thinking about which fits best, is easiest to install / take out (not that I plan to do this frequently - but you never know!) etc.

I'm also thinking about getting a Hatchbag (or similar) and boot mat, if that makes any difference.

i have a full size (not for sale) but its a pain in the chrome arse piece to have to remove it have you have something slightly larger than the boot and need the seats folded down

Remove it (4 hand bolts) place it safe where it would be scratched, do journey and replace

I can recommend the Travall guard, you can put the rear seat down with it fitted, you still use the load space cover (if you have one)
It attaches with 2 hooks under the rear seat back rest retainers, these hooks are tightened with 2 small hand wheels, very easy to fit and remove.

They sometimes come up on eBay I sold mine on there for half the original price.

Buy a cheap top half extendable one, twist the two poles and they will easily come off, raise the two outer headrests and use a short bungee hook strap between the headrest bars.

Cheap as chips, very solid and one minute installation / removal, if anyone is as cheap as me and interested, I will take a pic and post it.

Can't be doing with all this overpriced gear ............... although I did buy a Landrover

I've got the Travall top half one.

Very sturdy but a to put in as its such a neat fit. Its not something that you would be wanting to take out all the time. Quality is great. I don't use mine for the dog but to stop stuff comingover from the boot if I have to stop sharply. also helps when your loaded up to the roof.

Got mine from lrparts.net - advertised as britpart but was actually travall when it came at price less tthan most There's always a way forward!

Slightly different solution but i would recommend one of these, easy to get in and out, no bolts to remove and keeps the back of the car clean, tidy and dry , but there not cheap

Looks fantastic - but way, way, way overkill!

We have a very well behaved hound, who stays in the back of my Disco without a problem. This is not to stop her destroying anything or going where she shouldn't!

We have a Spring and we tend to go walking in around the N York Moore'sand the local Woodlands all year round, and he tends to get quite dirty and wet, the K9 box is great, even the Mrs likes it as she can put the weekly shoping it and it doesn't fall over so big bonus there

Hes quite an active Springer hes got 73 friends, 72 more than me
