Charlie, I'm going to be looking to get out of my 08 Disco3 SE Auto in the near future and will be going the other way, so something smaller and cheaper but still with good 4wd capability.

Very likely I will be going for a Skoda Octavia estate. Going to test drive it this w/end.

Thanks for that Rorsters... sounds like a bargain you picked up. sounds exactly the same as mine.. Was that from a dealer, or did you buy it private...?

I thought this didn't make any sense, so I went to each manufacturer's website to check: Freelander Boot, seats up: 755 litres Boot, seats down: 1670 litres (with flat load floor and no load lip) Max payload: 550Kg Max trailer weight: 2000Kg Octavia Estate: Boot, seats up: 605 litres Boot, seats down: 1665 litres (with stepped boot floor and large load lip) Max payload: 485 Kg Max braked trailer weight: 900Kg I don't know if this is important to you but the Octavia has less shoulder room and head room, both front and back too. Remind me, why were you looking to change again?! Last edited by Tigger on 18th Aug 2011 9:32 pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It won't be a wasted trip, check the Superb out while you're there - now that is a proper load carrier and still good VFM too! |

Interesting. I guess I was looking at it with the seats down and that's then much more like it at 1865 litres. |
