Leak from steering

Hi all I noticed some bright green liquid under my freelander this morning, I checked under the bonnet and the power steering fluid was low. Anyone know of any possible reasons, the steering feels fine

Power steering fluid is pink coloured in mine, so is the coolant, but the only other thing I can think is bright green is / could be coolant anti freeze if its been changed and green used?

The coolant is pink/red in mine. I can only think it's power steering fluid

Power steering fluid in mine is a claear dark green browny colour (CHF202 I think) ! Bright green suggests another fluid (CHF11s), or you have the wrong spec fluid in your car!!

Red fluid is DIII which is definitly the wrong PS fluid for the car!!!

Is it an illuminous green or a dark green - if light illuminous green it could be aircon refrigerant (the oil they use to lube it and spot leaks) or your coolant?

Another way to check is park over a piece of white card over night and try and work out where it is coming from.... might give you a clue under the bonnet ! Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Bright Green Fluid

Did you ever figure out what the bright green fluid was? I'm having a similar issue. My levels of coolant and PAS fluid are good. I'm seeing a small leak somewhere down by the pump and it's spinning up on the belt making the belt slippery.

Thanks. Yeah, I was just reading about that after scratching my head for two days! Both the coolant and PAS levels are good. The green oily stuff does not smell. It's leaking on belt and causing hard steering on startup. The Power Steering pump is good with no leaks. I'm trying to read exactly where it would be leaking from if it is aircon stuff...There is definitely a greenish fluid build up around the big air intake hose and it drips down on the smaller hoses and underneath the compressor. It's bright green. AC working good. I live in a hot climate. Thanks--
