They are not LR2’s
But same in some ways
I often buy sell and service Volvo XC90’s mostly 3.2 liter
Average miles I buy them at is 170-215.000 miles
I service all the common problem areas then sell to my customers .

I honestly only once bought any kind of 2010 Land Rover and it was in such bad shape that even the auction I bought it from said they were sorry and they would cancel my sale agreement.

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

Can't match that but my 2007 FL2 TD4 is just coming up to 300,000 miles - planning to do the second cam belt/ water pump change in the next couple of months - previously done at 150k.

Other than serviceable items the main work has been clutch (due to the slave cylinder not the clutch itself), steering rack, rear wheel bearing, crank sensor/connectors, boot release. Pretty good going...

Almost 900K!!!!!!!!!!! That's an amazing result.

Someday a Freelander 2 is going to get there.

Some might say that my declaration is tempting fate.

But I would quote the lyrics from a song that I like.

Quote:
There's a storm outside
And the gap between crack and thunder
Crack and thunder
Is closing in
Is closing in

The rain floods gutters
And makes a great sound on concrete

On a flat roof, there's a boy
Leaning against a wall of rain
Aerial held high
Calling "Come on thunder
Come on thunder!"

The correct answer to "A freelander 2 will never go 900K" is....... Come on Thunder!!!!!

Take care

Paul

might have been in its early days but i think its been in private ownership for a while now. Impressive though Bow down

although i have no idea what the owner has spent inbetween MOT to keep it like that, im thinking ''triggers new broom'' scenario Rolling with laughter

2017 in South Australia Yorke Peninsula I spoke to an owner of a D3 covered in scratches from bush tracks. He had replaced the transmission at 600,000 km & said it will need a new transmission very soon. The car had done over 1,100,000 km. Other than scratches down the sides it looked in pretty good shape. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

My 2011 SD4 had 120K miles on when i recently sold it, it had had its share of problems, power steering oumo x2, new rack etc, and despite 10K oil changes by me was starting to feel old and had a few issues. I never saw better than 37mpg.
I couldn't be bothered with replacing the cambelt so I sold it. I loved the driving experience on and off road but I had lost confidence in its reliability. It was maintained regardless of cost, haldex service every 40K etc.
I dont think of that mileage as high, my Volvo 850 T5 did 200K with no issues and my Ford Galaxy did 220K with no issues. The Freelander had more mechanical problems in 120k and 4 years than both those cars did in 400K miles.
I'm not trying to be negative, I enjoyed driving it more than any car I ever had, but hardly a week went by without some problem, minor or major!

The wife's Fl2 is just about to clock 151k , we've done 42k of those without any real issues other than wear and tear items . We've considered changing it but it really does nothing wrong and doesn't owe us anything , not to mention the 10k+ to swap to one of the last Fl2's manufactured.

135,000

I'm a little over 135,000 at the moment. The only major work I've done is replace the vacuum pump and a wheel bearing, and that same wheel bearing is giving me problems again. Not many places in central Alabama that will touch it when I call and tell them it's a Land Rover.
