After the car stood for about three days I drove it about 3 miles, left for an hour and drove three miles home, driving through our estate (housing not "country" ) at about 20mph,Transmission Fault - reduced traction flashed on briefly then another message came on something like Terrain response faulty with no icons lit up around the terrain response knob. Re started it at home to pop into our local LR Dealer a mile away and when I pressed the start button the same transmission fault - reduced traction came on before it started but this time the normal road icon was on. On starting after booking the car in (earliest available 8th May) no warnings at all but advised not to drive Wilts to Lincs this weekend. Any thoughts or similar experience? Forgot to say a couple of weeks ago leaving home after a non use period of a couple of days, turned left and a single knock from the rear nearside followed by a noise like ABS from the same area for about 2 seconds, I thought it was because I'd just driven over a wet manhole cover and it hasn't happened again. Reduced Traction messages and TR not working can be caused by low battery voltage. I would try and fully charge the battery and then check for any error messages. |

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it for the pump fix in the Haldex? I'm having the same issue with mine currently. Just wondering what to expect.

I had my control pump replaced in 2012 for £100 labour, pump cost £217 (genuine OEM) + VAT = total of £380 at my local independent. It is probably not that difficult to replace DIY so the cost could be a lot lower plus I think other makes of pump are available but independent did not recommend as he had failures before.

Car been in main dealer, apparently a software download has beeen done and cleared the fault (LR directive) this is not covered by the extended warranty, (exclusion because no component has failed). Wanted to charge me £66 but while i was in had a chat with sales who gave me a good deal on a new one with PX, so charge was waived. They did say the vehicle had defaulted to 2 wheel drive until the fault code had been cleared but if it came on again they'd be looking at changing the Haldex pump. 35k on the clock.
