FOB

My spare fob for my FL2 has gone completely flat - it won't unlock the doors. I left it too long in the cupboard. Would it still be alright to insert it into the dashboard, and will it start my vehicle?
I've still got the fully charged other one.

Steve.

It should start the car, yes, and charge once docked. You may find that it doesn't regain full capacity, as rechargeables don't like being allowed to go completely flat, but there are posts on here which describe how to replace the battery should you need to.

Thanks for that. I'll look into changing the battery. Do you know where the link is on this subject please?

There's quite a few. Just search 'fob battery' and take your pick! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.
