Depreciation

Hi all

Looking at buying a new SD HSE in Fuji White/ebony interior.

Can anyone tell me what in reality the build time currently is with the Japanese problems

Secondly, saw an Evoque in Red today on the road and it looked nice, anyone any idea what effect these will have on the LR2. Is there a future market for both or will they kill off the LR2?

Thanks

They will compete with high end fl2s without doubt, but do not have the height or luggage capacity of an fl2 so will not completely push the fl2's out,
I suspect evoque will hold its value very well in first few years leading many potential buyers to choose a used fl2 instead, after going to the dealership looking for a used evoque they cant find/afford. At work

Why would the Japanese issues cause problems with Freelander 2? The only problem that has effected FL2 is the fleck for the Lago grey paint which is made in Japan, or was. So Lago grey is now deleted.

Evoque and FL2 are aimed at two different markets. FL2 will not be killed off and is still scheduled to be replaced in circa 2013. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Ordered my SD4 HSE on 15 Feb deliverey is on 25 May. No Japanese problems mentioned to me. I agree don't order white, cheaper to buy but worth alot less to trade in.

Hey, I like white and always have! But I have to agree, if re-sale is important to you, white will be the wrong colour to choose. To illustrate the point, contract hire companies quote higher contract higher rental prices for white Freelanders, purely on based on the poorer residuals Sad This was the only reason that white didn't make it to my shortlist.

Don't get me wrong I don't dislike white - it's fine if you keep your tools in it and have name painted on the side and love cutting people up.

does it really really matter what the resale value is going to be Question

If you like white, and its the colour you want, would you not be happier with the car than if you had chosen a different colour Question After all when your writing your cheque or entering your pin to pay for the next car does it really make that much different when you have to pay a couple of quid extra out

white suits certain cars, we have a white Toyota iQ and it looks brilliant. ( an unusual white with a slight metallic finish )

but white does not suit Landrovers, especially Discos and Range Rovers

Iain

ps the Mini also looks brilliant in pepper white, especially with the black roof.
