United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black
HST Kit - Rear Towing Eye Cover

This is nothing more than a minor irritation but it bugs me.....

This little cover on the back of my Freelander keeps working a little bit loose - a gap develops.

I nudge it back in to place with my knee when I go past. I don't think it's going to fall off because it appears well secured on to the car with large lower screws.

I've taken it off once or twice and tried re-fitting it but it stiil happens.

Anyone have a tip for fitting this cover - top clips first or fit lower ones before easing top clips in?

I'd just like to solve it.

Ta.

One side of mine is held with the platic screw & the other is held with a cable tie as the 2nd plastic securing washer thing was missing when I got the bumper extension but didn't realise until it was fitted.

Mine has not moved!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I got some replacement Fixings from dealer-had to order them in, cost about 13p each if I remember.

Mines bonded on with my kit now anyway-at least I don't have to tow anyone now as i can't get the cover off.

Shows how dealers etc vary as when I asked if they could get me a clip which I think is a squareish looking flat item they said no & the only way to order one was to order an entire body kit LOL. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I know it's a while since the last post but I've just got some from my local dealer. 67p each plus VAT!

If anyone has difficulty, the part number is DYR500010 (the pack also says A0675464 and L2LTB on it).
