Not sure if there is anywhere on a Freelander 2 dash to mount one but I have a Jessops combined table top tripod and G clamp that works well on in both the Defender and the FFRR................ and was only £12.99. I mount a cheap Fuji camera on it rather than a video camera and have a 2Gb memory card in the camera so can get about 2 hours of video if the battery holds out and I use the lowest resolution How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Just searched the Jessops website and they don't have the G clamp version any more but this might be of interest
Just remember not to try surfing or snowboarding in your Freelander and you will be OK at up to 200mph........ How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet? The camcorder I have is a Panasonic Mini-DV, NVDS60. Quite old now but still good picture quality and quite compact.

I have mounted a camera on the headrest, pull the headrest right up and use a camera mount and attach! Very solid and hardly any movement! This is what I have used:

If you have something like a flip or even just using a standard compact to film your movie you could strap it to the sun viser using rubber bands.. I've seen a few films on Utube done this way and it gives a pretty good angle. The Doctor, we use these for work, good quality recording straight to an SD card, we use an 8 Gig card on the lowest quality and will take about 14 hours of filming before is starts to overwrite. on the top quality about 2 to 3 hours recording, you can set it to record in in 3, 5 or 10 minute sections and you can take a still photo also, works in darkness should you need it and the camera itself is no bigger than a fag packet. Wired through the ignition it will auto start and shutdown 2 minutes after the ignition is turned off or you can use the internal battery which is like the battery in a mobile phone. Easily mounted by a sucker on the screen. |

google md80 video camera, then look for youtube examples of quality, £20 + 9 for an 8gb mini/sd card and you can get 2 hours of decent quality video on something you can blutack to the dashboard !

I did a project for someone that involved having an SLR on the dash taking pics every few seconds. I found that mounting it on the front of the dash mounted speaker with plenty of blutac did the trick
