Despite the FL2 being higher up than rivals such as the x-trail and Kuga etc, I was parked up next to an x-trail and I seemed to be on a par. I have now altered the seat position as it was quite low.

I have mine as high as it goes, very comfortable and gives you a great view. (I am a short arse though!!) |

I remember the 5th gear review of FL2 vs X-Trail and the guy criticised the X-Trail for being to low, unlike the mighty FL2: LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

The trouble is that as the seat goes up it tilts forward(as with just about every other car) and makes the seat base too flat for me.Why can't car manufacturers make their seats go up vertically so the cushion angle stays the same.I have put some longer bolts and spacers under the front of the seat to keep the angle as the seat goes up.I think the seats are the worst part of the Freelander. longer bolts spacers could fail an mot, maybe remove before the test to save hassles? At work

I'm short and fat and have my seat low... I get a better centre of gravity then! |

I'm tall, slim and handsome, I have my seat as high as possible to portray my upper body to the chicks when cruising |
