Gender car insurance

With the recent ruling that insurance companies cannot charge less for women than men, does this mean that mine will go down? Rolling with laughter Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

That decision was another one from 'Brussels' based on sexism and equal rights. Insurance costs should be based on the assessed risk and woman normally do not race the roads, or take the risks that we men do. Therefore they are a less risk to themselves and others on the road and their policy cost should reflect this.

I'm not saying they are better drivers than men, just more cautious.

Funny how they had to take the insurance companies to task about equality and women have ended up paying more!

Who did it benefit?

I think you'll find the only ones to benefit will be the insurance companies.
