Williams F1 Team Ceramic Coat

When I ordered my car the dealer talked about the latest paint treatment they offer and I'm thinking it's just another GAP/Payment Protection/Extended Warranty money making scheme. That's not to say those products are not a good idea, just that they seem to attract a hefty dealer profit margin.

I can't find an awful lot of info about this paint protect, other than the official website which is always going to sing its praises, but I've been caught out having Supaguard applied a few years ago and it was a waste of money.

Anyone come across this Williams stuff? My inner child loves that it's F1 wax Laughing It must be good.

Shocked Just seen the price the dealer wrote on the back of the brochure, £350+vat Shocked Shocked Shocked

A couple of hundred quid I might have taken a punt but not 420.

to be honest i dont think the paint protection scheemes are any good in the long run. cant see that anything will protect paintwork so well that its worth 420 notes just think of all the clay detailing treatment kit and tender loving care that will bring to the car

or you could just let some spotty Censored slap a load of polish on a car he does not own and even worse doesnt care about. save the dosh and get a good wash and standard polish on delivery day.

a friend got a similar product and was told he would never have to polish the car again only hose it down what a load of bs

just my penny worth Thumbs Up

To be fair it does seem to be a cut above the usual stuff offered by dealers. Apparently the car is spotlessly cleaned and dried in the drying room before it is applied, the whole process takes a couple of days from start to finish.

However, I am more than happy cleaning and waxing cars and have a variety of cleaning product, so for me I think it's 420 quid I can spend elsewhere.

Don't get riped off. I have been stung twice on two cars (vauxhall and Land Rover). Best thing to do is buy
autoglym WAX (About £35). It took me around 3 hours and the finish is great (check the videos on YouTube)

I'll give them a try Smile Although it probably won't cost in as I'm only 3 months into my insurance year so it'll probably work out cheaper just change the car for the remainder.

Agree with Mr Pinks - preperation is key and I've seen far to many cars (mine included) come out after being prepped with far too many swirls, scratches, marring and holograms to be able to trust anyone other than a proper detailer, or myself.

A 15 quid tub of colly applied with 2 layers twice a year after a good wash, clay and SRP will do you better than any £400 treatment Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints
