UKdave104,

I think on my Tonga Green smoked has the same greyish appearance as the car and the metal vent. I can imagine than with some colours the clear look better. BUT: the smoked isn't that dark.

Got mine from E-Bay £34.99 + £2.50 post. Seller was rangeoverrange.

Following the thread of What colour is best, I assume if Your baby catches fire then the "smoked" lense version is best.

Got my clear ones on Zermatt Silver, looks well cool Mr. Green

Well, I had smoked lenses ordered for my RRS, which we put on Wifey’s FL2 when they arrived, which is Zermatt Silver.

While they look fine, we think the clears ones would look better, so we’ve ordered a set & will put the smoked ones on my Sport then. “You feel uneasy, as the mad scientist locks the door behind you & dissolves the key in a vat of Acid”

Looking at the pics the grey and clear (White) versions do not look that different.....will they look substantially different on the car??

In my humble opinion the white or grey side glasses look very similar. I have choosen the grey ones as they look good on stornoway grey.
For black Freely's I think I would choose the white glasses, as they match the head lamps well.
But everything is, as usual, a matter of personal taste.

Mine are arriving tomorrow from sixonetwo in anticipation of the new motor on Saturday so my first job after arriving home will be to put on the new clear side lenses. Picked those over the smoked ones purely as the front and rear lenses are clear I wanted a similar look on all faces of the car, plus the clear blend in better with the silver grilles

Smoked or clear they look better than the ORANGE, unless of course, as has rightly been mentioned, you have a Tambora Flame, in which case keep the ORANGE Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

We put the grey lenses on “Freddy” initially & they looked fine, but a little out of place as all the other light clusters were clear, as carlfraz mentioned.

Then we ordered the clear lenses which are now installed & they look way better than the smoked lenses did. “You feel uneasy, as the mad scientist locks the door behind you & dissolves the key in a vat of Acid”

Thanks for that Freddy I did have a 'nagging' doubt in the back of my mind that smoked would have looked better...but sounds like I made the right choice Thumbs Up
