On wednesday morning it was horrendous here in Derbyshire with people abandoning cars and walking. I felt great when I cruised through deep snow and up a hill past FWD & RWD cars that could not cope but then I thought about the help I can offer. A guy at work was worried about his elderley mum who was stranded in her flat so I ploughed through and took him there. Infact the bosses at work asked anyone with 4x4's to give colleagues a lift to and from work which I also did. Gives a nice warm glow knowing you have made someones life easier

Well done, we should all try to help eachother whenever we can, I live near to you and local people can't remember when it was this bad, keep up the good work, just hope someone can help a Greenpeace member and change their opinion of Land Rover. Cheers mate. We are in good spirits on our street as we have all been checking on each other and helping with problems. Our neighbour helped us when our combi boiler packed up cos the outside pipe was frozen solid. Sorted now. We called it quits after I went to tesco in super bad snow and got him a kettle cos his had blown up.

Not wanting to get off topic here by the way. I am sure other members here have stories of helping family and friends out, please share them in this post. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Absolutely But hey hang on a minute - I was a hippy and not all hippies in my day were in a purple eco haze, unless they were behind my Triumph T160. Last edited by athelstan on 3rd Dec 2010 6:44 pm. Edited 1 time in total |
