Made up name, as I don't know anyone called Mr Idlebarsteward, and maybe Mr Someone should have been paying more attention - but I've seen it nearly happen.

For not clearing the snow from roof, bonnet, boot and above all windows there would be a very heavy fine and in extreme cases licence confiscated Thumbs Up Doesn't stop the Censored from not bothering though and unfortunately the chance of getting stopped is rather small. For example the other day at work, I watched a "female" brush the snow off the windscreen and front side door windows and off she drove silly cow, with snow piled up over all other surfaces and looking like a mobile snowball Rolling Eyes 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Over here it's exactly the same, if you have an unsecured load you get done over good and proper! Although like is being said for other coutries, chances are police aren't going to bother with a foot of snw on someones roof. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Sorry, forgot to mention the fine, should have stated 'fixed penalty'. I know it's been on the books for ages, but it's nice to hear they are finally enforcing it. I've been showered with roof snow many times in the past. As has been mentioned, it's the lazy, idle Censored . We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

A road was blocked near home today, HGV breakdown. So used my farm track to get home on, any it soon became impossible to tell whether I was on the track or not, so I just headed for the gap in the trees directly in front, a most eerie feeling driving thru the middle of a great expanse of white. luckily the track is an old railway line so dead straight

excuse the pic my phone camera lens is somewhat scratched

same track in summer

I stopped halfway along the track for the snow pic. no trees where harmed in the making of that pic.

I wasn't in the fl2 but in a ford ranger. Not a bad motor ,but no diff between front and rear axles to it gets lots off windup in the transmission. fl2 would have made the trip easier, but the ranger atleast has the clearance to not snowplough At work

Very slippy out there this morning

Parked the car on the carpark near my sons school and parked up

It's a very slight slope but my car just didn't move at all Shocked Selected GGS, no movement, turned DSC off and still no movement, tried lightly revving, still no movement

So I booted it and slipped a little sidewards and started to move Neutral

The look of lady BMW next to me was a picture Laughing

Would it have been the same on WINTER tyres Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

On one of my LRE courses there was mention that things don't fully happen until 2000rpm?

I had a similar situation on loose gravel on a steep slope with only 3 wheels on road (track) contact. No traction until I increased revs to aroud 2000rpm.

Perhaps someone more informed will comment.

Quite a good example here of how you need to put the power through to kick in the traction control.
