I had exactly the same problem happen about 18 months ago. I was in traffic and suddenly had a beeping noise coming from the dash and noticed that the temp gauge was dancing on max. It wasnt a hot day and I hadnt been in traffic long. I managed to pull over and gave the car 5 minutes and restarted and it was absolutely fine. It was booked in at the stealers next day for something else so I got them to check it over and they couldnt find a single thing wrong - they left it running for an hour and the fan kicked in when it should so put it down to an electrical gremlin - its never happened again! |
