Being of low dimensions, I believe that the power consumption of one of them is no more than 50W.

I agree with Alex (and CG occasionally) when on the move the sysytem will easily cope with the additional load.

Andy I can imagine - close to Armageddon: twisted: The Ipanema Sand / Terracotta leather FL2 Newport is her ladyship's so I cann't kick up too much of a fuss about colour coded cool boxes/bags. The other shopping item she came home with yesterday was 2x picnic blankets, each individually cased, yes you can guess: in a terracotta leather carry cover ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Out here in Western Queensland Engel's are the popular unit. Commonly seen in the back of work utes and recently reported as the most common stolen item from the back of a ute.

can these coolboxes be packed into a fairly full boot, or do they need space around them to work properly?

My cheap one from Halfrauds has been fine for four years or so. It does have a fan so needs some air circulation - I imagine that's true for them all. |

They take heat from the inside and shove it outside, if there is nowhere for it to go they all stop working I am afraid.

After 4,005kms at outside temps between 6°C and 42°C I can confirm that the FL2 can handle comfortably both the cool boxes plugged in and running hard.
