Tong Off Roading day Sunday June 13th

Going to do some off roading at tong on the 13th june. I have read some posts that your car can get scratched / exhaust and sills rubbed on the ground.

I was only going to do the Blue route run, should i be worried about it ?

Pinky has some magnetic side panels you could borrow to protect against/cause* scratches.

although you may spend a lot of time looking for them after they fall off Whistle

I never damaged anything at tong that wasn't there to protect the car

I have a set of side tubes for off roading and they were scuffed and slightly bent due to ME been a little heavy going over a bump

stay to the blue routes and you should be fine, though I have only gone on Disco3/freel2 event days

try a pm to cotefarmboy to ask his advice. His a Marshall there Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

I've been a couple of time sin my FL2.
Blues can be OK but some of them are deep rutted and we all know the FL2 drags it 'tank around.

Be careful and walk the route if you aren't sure. The signing in usually good but often one track will take you into an area that has been used to access the Red and Black routes and these can get badly cut up after a while.
If you want steep drops and slopes the climb there are plenty to go at and these are usually not that badly cut up. Wat out for the trees - many are close together and as much of the site is ona hill side you don't always have control over where your car will go sideways exactly. I would say saty out of the lake but I know Pinkie has tried it!

Don't expect to have a full day there - although the site is big the Blue routes can be driven in a couple of hours.

As pinkie says CoteFarmBoy is a marshall but he drives his disco round there. PM MLEE to see what he thinks.

Have a good day if you go. There's always a way forward!

yep thats AlexG Thumbs Up

filmed by CY from Disco3 on a private event arranged by CoteFarmBoy (Andy)

I had just gone through the lake before Alex, (mines the grey FL2 in another clip) but to be honest i wouldn't do it again in my car, as it started scrabbling for grip due to floatation at the far end Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
