Westfalia Tow Bar Fitting - Bumper On

Just bought a 2007 ex-company car FL2 which used to have a towbar (probably the genuine LR - with a small cut out in the rear bumper) - but this was removed before sale to fit to the guy's new LR. I bought a Westfalia sswan neck detachable towbar kit and managed to fit it without removing the rear bumper.

Requires rubber double jointed arms and a bit like decorating your hallway through the letter box but it can be done!

The towing eye bolt that needs to be undone is 18mm - non-standard socket size and is FFFING tight.

And the bar is HEAVY.

Not bothered to do the electrics yet.
