Smooth rear wiper folk....

Anyone with the smooth wiper from that auction site had to replace the blade yet? Mine is fooked and needs replacing just wondered where to get one from? The blade that was on there when it came was crap anyway!

I agree that the original blades are crap!
I had to change the rear and drivers side blades within 6 months of buying the car. I chose Opie Oils for my replacements, who at the time were site sponsors. Not sure if they still are sponsors, but the blades are very good and were a reasonable price at the time. Thumbs Up

I had the same problem landy. Went to Halfords and picked up one the same length but it wouldn't fit (fitting bar gap too small). Got them to fit a new rubber to it instead but the rubber was too flimsy and wouldn't work either. Ended up buying another full arm that came with a free second blade (the first one had a weak spring so it didn't wipe well)

Or, if you mail the "stormwipers" (that you put up the link to) via their "contact me" they will sell you just a blade mate.

They must all be timed to wear out on the same day just had to replace mine.

Easy job - get yourself to your local independent spares shop and pick up some cut to length wiper baldes.
Get the 28" ones and then you can get 4 sets out of them (the rear wiper is only around 12" long)

Mine cost £5.98 and took literally 2 minutes to replace. Good as new.

BTW the local shop had replacement smooth units but he wanted around £9 for just one. Turned him down and kept the money and the spare blades.

Just check that it isn't scratching the screen drowned rat. I thought mine was perfect after replacing the rubber only, but it was too flimsy and the metal started rubbing on the glass after a couple of days. Yours might be better quality than Halfords though.
