I would say they should be the ones on the windshield, on top and middle. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Think that's the rain sensor Wintermute, there's a sensor bottom right of the screen (When sat in the car) but you have to look at it outside the car.

Wintermute is right. The same sensor used for rain, also contains a light sensor used to control operation of the automatic headlamps.

Thanks alex and wintermute. Seems you may have helped me solve the rain sensor issue as well as I have to have that on the highest sensitive setting now to get it to work !

every car Ive owned with rain sensors seems to have to be on the highest settings |

My gripe about light sensors is that, whilst they turn lights on promptly when entering a tunnel, they do not turn off for ages after leaving the tunnel. The same happens when a dark cloud comes over. I guess parameters set by software are the key. |

maybe so but it would be nice if it had a more sensitive adjustment, I run mine on max all the time and sometimes wish to turn it up a little |

Then "turn it up" by switching the wiper selector to next (up) position. |
