Only caught a glimpse of the tv this morning when the news was on and it was on about the flooding in East Anglia, there was a Freelander 2 in police livery pulling a car out the flood water. Anyone else see it? Didnt realise the police had starting using the FL2.

That is why many forces changed back from Merc ML's and BMW's to Disco3 and FFRR- Mercs and BMW's don't have oil coolers as standard and have to be adapted at great expense to tow anything. 1st look at anything near to their towing weight they cook their gearboxes, unlike Land Rovers. The Police here had to come up to the cul-de sac I live in last week, both the Mitsubishi pick-up thing and their Honda CRV couldn't even look at the slight incline and corner into another incline with 20cms of snow on them and had to be backed out to the main road, and the local plods had to get wet feet. They always used to have Defenders and Freelanders in the rural beats but not anymore, they have to make their budget go further. The Motorway Plod gets FFRR's and Disco4 though as well as 5 Series Tourings and Volvo V70 T5's How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet? Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green |
