Do we wave !

Enjoyed having the car for about 9 months now and generally keep my eye out for other owners - just in the last week or so I've been acknowledged by three other owners with a bold 'hi five' hand (Silver), four fingers raised off the steering wheel (black) and a definate finger lift (Very light green - think it's Ipanama - nice colour) and yes the finger was the nice way round Very Happy . Don't think I've seen this before but maybe wasn't looking towards the driver at the time.
Firstly - if the above was you and a grey FL2 ignored you, i'm sorry Embarassed
Secondly - (And my question to all) Do you wave at an oncoming Freely Question Thumbs Up (I will from now on)

It has happened to me also and when I was heading out of York on the A19 towards Thirsk last summer I was towing my trailer at the time and a Black Fl2 with 18" wheels a black tubes I think, but it was coming towards me and I received the one finger salute. Rolling Eyes That's the only time a Fl2 driver has done that but that's life but yes sometimes you do get a friendly acknowledgement. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

No I don't, can't think why you would unless I'd slept with the other driver. I concentrate on driving.

As I have only had my Freelander 2 a week I have given a wave sevaral times to other FL2 owners but no wave back Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry as I am also a biker you never forget to wave/nod or flash your lights at other bikers unless they are chopper/harley riders as they never wave back (T***S). If I had all the money I spent on Beer!, I'd spend it on Beer!.

Not much chance on that score. Don't take it personally, I just avoid people. When I am out, I don't look or make eye contact at people, full stop. It's not about being shy, it's about I am not bothered about other people and certainly can't be bothered having a pointless conversation. At least on here, you can pick and choose what you reply to and what level you want to indulge in dialogue.

I don't see why not - it is an indication afterall that a fellow F2 owner has equally 'Good taste' Years ago - back in the seventies - I was a member of the Saab owners club - we always acknowledged each other on the road and also helped out in cases of breakdowns etc. I think it is what a lot of Society is missing - thinking of others - not just yourself Smile Smile Smile

Its a very rare thing to meet another FL2 on the roads here, but I always flash them (with the headlights) hoping that one day a similar happy satisfied FL2 owner will flash back. But no Crying or Very sad , and normally get an astonished or shocked look back Laughing Headlight flashing from other motorists here often means Police Control Ahead - and is in fact this type of signalling is illegal (like breathing Norwegian air) Rolling Eyes . 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
