If you have the Automatic Climate Control, there is an automatic function that automaticaly blocks smelly outside air then unblocks when you drive in the clean fresh countryside (except in Yorkshire where it remains on recycle the whole time) Read page 102 - 104 of the Owners Handbook 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Keeping the button pressed until the LED flashes 3 times will force the recycle to stay on but it will revert again to outside at the next engine start. The best option as AndyC suggested would be to use Auto function if you have the pollution sensor ( I think it only comes in HSE spec). Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto
