I thought most top end vehicles were made to order owing to the number of options and colours that customers can select. My first BMW was a 10 week waiting list but I could jump the queue and have a slightly different spec one in a different colour straight away - only coz the customer had died a week before taking delivery..... needless to say I kept with the original order!!

2nd BMW was a 12 week wait. My FL2 was ordered in Feb 08 and arrived early Apr 08 - 6 week wait.

Golf Bluemotion SE no extras in white.....18 weeks (Delivery around Easter)
I don't mind waiting as I don't want a car that's been stood in a field for the last 4 months
