I thought that too when I first read it, but below that it says "+ performance, - consumption", so I think their claim is better economy and more power.

Engine designers are fools, all they need do is put a magnet on the fuel lines and economy increases 3 fold simples |

All the mllions companys spend on getting a clean running efficient engine and all they need to do is spend 80 quid !

A lot of vehicles do get better fuel economy once tuned though, and the manufacturers MPG figures normally back this up ie look at fuel figures for a low bhp and high bhp version of the same engine and the high output normaly produces better fuel results when driven in the same manner as the lower BHP ones. |

It's usually that they prioratise emmissions. Land Rovers were seen as right old smokers by most people. So they target emmisions as many others do to sell more cars. |
