I'm bog standard in that respect as I think 18/19" are just what the younger generation refer to nowadays as "bling" and not as practical (aka "ease of cleaning") or as strong for off road use. So my "Newport" has what our Swiss brochure refers to as "Style 1" 17" 6 spoke wheels (simple design easier to clean and stronger, plus with their tyre spec 235/65; all round an alloy wheel better suited for off road usage). I believe in the UK they are referred to as "GS" wheels, but I could be wrong. The 5 double spoke 17" (referred to here as Style 2) was the standard alloy but they just presented more awkward crevices to clean i.e. corrosion points, hence I kept it simple. |
