Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Roof bars finish the car off, i knotice no extra wind noise from my last car which didn't have roof bars

When i first got the car it had its cross bars on also, and i didn't think these caused anymore noise either... I only took them off to see if it made any difference to my 350miles tank fulls

All to his own, but I still think the FL2 roof bars do not suit the vehicle and are too high and thus look rather ugly. The cross bars seem unnecessary unless you’re going to carry stuff the whole time and undoubtedly will cause wind noise if driving with the roof open.

Had roof bars on my BMW touring and they looked OK (lower and more discreet) - no noise either except when I had stuff on the roof. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

privacy glass is a must (not sure if its standard now on the HSE?) oh and make sure its not black......... Whistle

Yes, go for Privacy glass & that was another one of my gripes - not standard!!

Roof Rails make the vehicle look bigger & give it the finished look. They are also very handy for grabbing hold of to get up & clean the roof.

If you want a headrest monitor kit I have a new one a lot cheaper than the dealer price & a set of 19" Shaddow Chrome wheels too. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Picked up the car from Stafford Land Rover today, great car and great service. It's going back in Jan to have the bodykit fitted Smile

If the dealer is fitting the bodykit make sure it is done properly as I was advised by my dealer to have it fitted by a specialist bodyshop as dealer fitted ones generally fall off (mainly the front & rear parts).

This is how I aquired the rear section of mine from ebay so cheap - they had to buy a new full kit from LR as the kit they fitted ( A dealer in the Midlands area) fitted the original kit & the front section fell off on a motorway! Hence to say it got squashed lol. The rest of the kit was sold off to whoever. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Like all the suggestions given but would dispute lack of effectiveness of side steps. They have dual function in that they deter trolleys and doors being opened by inconsiderate shoppers or parkers and more importantly they do assist those who are shorter or have minor disabilities. Ralph

Agreed the side steps do help shorter people (like my wife!) but again they are also godd for stepping onto when you are getting out of the car to swivvel yourself around on thus reducing the wear on the edge of the drivers seat & again usefull for standing on to clean the roof.
They also give the vehicle a wider stance making it IMO look more meaty. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I totally agree Ralphy, Mrs Bopper sadly lost her leg above the knee and would not be able to get in the car without a side step/running board.
