I have just bought one of the two F2's that actually went to Mongolia as a media / recce vehicle (the other one is believed to have been scrapped).

Also, I was told my Nene Overland, when I first got my FL2 that the safety devices rack from the FL1 would fit it. I know it looks very similar to the G4 rack, but I can't imagine the mounting points are in the same place on the 2 vehicles.

Don't know if the G4 Freelander2 had a winch but if it does you probably have a wire and not what they had for the recce/challenge which was tangier orange plasma rope. I have just fitted a length of it to my Defender after parting the purple plasma rope that came with the winch (don't ask!), anyway the UK importer of plasma ropes is in Glasgow not far from me and he has plenty of the G4 plasma and at extra cost he can also supply the special Tangiers Orange G4 hooks (normally they are yellow) that LR asked him to source as well as the ropes.
