Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Indus Silver
New Tyres

Just had new tyres fitted today ready for our holiday in France.

4 x Goodyear Wranglers all round (no pun intended Laughing ) 500 smackers all in Thumbs Up

On a down side, car was serviced only 1 month ago, service sheet indicated 5mm tread on all 4 tyres across the whole width of the tyre...... Confused

1 month on and I have uneven wear on all 4 tyres with 4mm depth on the inside whilst they were down to 2mm on the outside edge and have only done just over 200 miles since the service and even I noticed that the wear wasn't even before I took it in.

I just don't trust the local dealer anymore, and they won't be servicing our cars in future, we will be using a local independant instead. ______________________

I'd go with local Indy for service everytime.

As a note, just been to LR to see if I could trade in my FL2 for a new auto, and even though I mentioned the name of the garage it was serviced at, and when he asked the last service date I showed him the sticker with it on, they still offered me the full trade in price, and never mentioned this as a bad thing, which is a bonus.

Used Nene Overland first time. Second time round tried footloose, as Nene had a few weeks waiting time.

Got really good service from both, although bizarrely both of them forgot to reset the service indicator.

Will definitely use Footloose again though, really nice bunch of guys, and good prices. They even offered to loan me a towing strop when I tried to buy one, and they'd sold out.
