Mine was black as used engine oil when i got her. New reservoir and took a few full flushes to get it really clean. Not very hard to do at home to save costs.

Power steering fluid from Volvo is half the price of the same fluid from Land Rover! |

^ Definitely. Or should be at least a few options in your part of the world that meet the specs for Pentosin CHF202. |

I would have changed the old reservoir (and its dirty bulit-in filter) before flushing with clean fluid and used the old reservoir to catch the dirty fluid as it is pumped through. Not saying that is the cause of the mucky fluid after 2 weeks but it might have helped. Jules |

Was this one i add https://www.amazon.com/Lucas-Oil-10011-Oun...B0014E36KM Never used a 'flush' product on the steering before. No idea if they're worth it or not. When i say i 'flush' once a year, i'm dumping the old fluid and adding fresh. |
