Ive been out trickle charging both our cars recently - its amaziing how much a couple of short trips drains the batteries with no time to recharge fully. Jules |

with the new battery on order now delivering end of today we employed the help of our AA man who tested the battery and charging system. he noted the battery was abou half depleted from too many short trips but the alternator was charging a battery reluctant to accept any charge ,hence our issue.convinced the misses to take it out for s long hour long run so hopefull it will start next time or i will have to jump start it wi the new battery until it can be swapped out. these things always happen in bad weather conditions.

My battery did the same thing on Christmas Eve, so a trip to Halfords where they fitted a new Yuasa battery in 15 minutes and I didn't even get my hands dirty. Well worth the extra cost for fitting and disposal. |

fitting batteries is good money, they get paid to fit them and then get £8 or so for the old one, |
