Proconve L6 Compliance

It’s a long story, but does anyone please know the changes that were made to the emissions control equipment in order to make the Freelander 2 compliant with Proconve Level 6?

I'm assuming that the baseline standard was a late model SD4 with DPF, but it seems that the loom was updated as part of the L6 change, and I'm trying to work out how/why.

Thanks in advance.

Wiki says Proconve Level 6 is similar to Euro 5 emission control.

The SD4s are all autos and dont have stop/start like the manaul TD4s do, but AFAIK SD4s were made Euro 5 compliant by adding a DPF. Jules

The Wiki entry saying that Proconve Level 6 and Euro V are "similar" is over simplifying it: Proconve L6 is more strict than Euro V, hence the L359 was somehow updated beyond the Euro V standard.

I know that a Euro V compliant vehicle has an engine loom with part number LR022062, whereas a Euro V + Proconve L6 compliant vehicle has loom part number LR049504.

That suggests that the compliance with L6 wasn't achieved simply by undertaking a paperwork clearance exercise, and that physical changes were made.

What I would like to know is what those changes affected in the engine equipment fit...
