United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Sumatra Black
2014 facelift headlights.

Got a pair cheap, so thought I'd try them on the Freelander. However, I'm not exactly bowled over . They didn't make the cosmetic impact I thought they would given the facelift bumper and custom grille.
They're not Bi-Xenon , like the originals, just basic halogen. I figured the price I paid for them was cheap enough to try them out and sell them should I decide I didn't like them. I couldn't justify the price of the Bi-Xenon with the signature strip - a function I can well live without anyway, just to see if I like the look !
If I decide to keep them, then the next step is getting hold of a conversion loom.
Does anyone know where I can get a set from, other than Powerful UK ? I remember seeing them for sale elsewhere cheaper, but that was probably 2+ years ago !!

I think the upgrade lamps look better on your car. I bought a set back when I had the 59 plate XS but never got round fitted them... sold on unused. That was back when one of our fellow members (WytonPJS) was building (and documenting here) his own conversion looms...

The only other supplier (back then) I can think of was Camerons GT Auto Ltd in York
https://www.yorkcarservicing.co.uk/ but whether they still do them...? They were monstrously expensive at £249 a pair

Might be useful but I have not purchased or used these converters so 'caveat emptor' applies.

Some of the halogen headlamps from 2014 also have the signature LED strips, it's not just the Xenon ones - though I think there were also ones without the LEDs - are you sure yours haven't got it?

My 2014 car has halogen but with signature LED strips. I would look at converting to HID lamps using the ABD kits (I have) as the halogens are rubbish light output and keep blowing all the time.
