Yes, it needs a "supply" charger, at minimum 13 volts constant supply and 20 to 30 constant amps. The reason why you need this, if your voltage falls below 13 volts, your modules could get corrupted during flashing, etc. and you end up with an actual bricked module.

I was having problems with missing modules. Not sure WHY it worked, but rolling back to an older version of SDD and I didn't have a problem any more. Running v130 now. |

I also run 130 in a virtual " box". |

There's a chap on the jag forums that has a v130 on a virtual image for anyone to download if you wanted to give that a try, so if you're confident setting up a virtual box, all the installing faff has been done for you.
