JLR SDD modules

Hello all, I am new Freelander 2 owner and very pleased with it so far .
I have also invested in the JLR SDD v.165 with a mongoose cable. A few issues setting it up, but working now....I think.
I am not finding all the modules the software says are fitted to the vehicle. I have tried refreshing the modules individually, but to no avail.( see attached photo)
The car drives fine, no problems found so far, so I don't think anything wrong with the modules.
Could the "lost" modules be down to a low battery ? The voltage after starting is down to 12.2v.
I have read the voltage needs to be 13v or over for the SDD to function properly. I do attach my battery charger and that shows the battery to be only 50% charged, but does get up to over 75% and reads just over 13v after about 10 mins.
Is the battery charger good enough for the SDD, or does it need to be a special charger to keep the voltage about 13v. or is the battery on the way out and a new battery may help read the missing modules.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
Howard

Yes, it needs a "supply" charger, at minimum 13 volts constant supply and 20 to 30 constant amps. The reason why you need this, if your voltage falls below 13 volts, your modules could get corrupted during flashing, etc. and you end up with an actual bricked module.

One piece of advice, if you get an error or an issue when using SDD, do not panic, patience of Job, just try again.

Best thread I've read on SDD, patience and brown pants....

It also appears you need a new battery and these vehicles are battery hogs.

I was having problems with missing modules. Not sure WHY it worked, but rolling back to an older version of SDD and I didn't have a problem any more. Running v130 now.

Thank you both for the advice.
Will get a new battery and the power supply and try again.
I am running the SDD on an old laptop . I did a clean install of windows 10 and I got it working............but only after I FULLY read the "read me" advice the software came with !
Thanks again.
Howard.

There's a chap on the jag forums that has a v130 on a virtual image for anyone to download if you wanted to give that a try, so if you're confident setting up a virtual box, all the installing faff has been done for you.

Thanks Grue,
I'll persist with the version i've got at the moment and post how I get on, but it's god to know there's a fall back option.
