FL2 faults

Hi all we own a 2008 fl2 hs the car has been great.
We have a couple of issues I just can't resolve and don't wanna chuck more money at it if it won't sort.

Firstly the hdc system has a fault have changed the battery , steering wheel sensor but it won't clear. The car car also developed a vibration like it's the propshaft centre bearing but today when driving the gearbox clunks between gear changes to me if feels like the torque converter. I have read up it could be the haldex?
Any help or advice would be great.

The fault codes are
u0428-00 abs control module - invalid data from steering angle sensor module
C0051-28abs - steering wheel position sensor does clear but comes back
U0415-94 atcm- invalid data from abs module
U3000-92 sasm - steering angle sensor

As the HDC system uses the abs system to control wheel speed you need to find which abs sensor is causing the error and change it.

Interestingly I took the haldex fuse out from the boot and the bad gear changing has stopped 🤔

Your haldex probably needs a proper full service.
Has this ever been done ?
Whats the car's mileage ? Jules

In the 3yrs you have owned it has the Haldex ever had the filter changed, and new fluid, same goes for the PTU, rear diff, gearbox fluid.

Even your brake fluid should have been changed by now every 2years.

I am going to disagree with the estimates of lubricant change.

I would say that the auto gearbox would need an oil change every 75,000 miles - the manual would probably benefit from a similar regime, but the oil in the manual gearbox does have an easier life.

The front PTU 50,000 miles, and do the rear differential at the same time.

Haldex does depend on how it's used, town car probably every 3 years or 30,000 miles, off road regularly and mine was fine when it was changed at 150,000 miles.

Brake fluid every 2 years is the current LR recommendation, I have been fixing vehicles for over 40 years and this short interval has only come in recently - it was always test and replace if necessary, usually between 5-8 years.

Then again I always changed the engine oil and filter on my FL2 every 6,000 miles Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
