As the HDC system uses the abs system to control wheel speed you need to find which abs sensor is causing the error and change it. |

Interestingly I took the haldex fuse out from the boot and the bad gear changing has stopped 🤔 |

Your haldex probably needs a proper full service.

I don't know we have had the car for 3 years now done 150k roughly. |

In the 3yrs you have owned it has the Haldex ever had the filter changed, and new fluid, same goes for the PTU, rear diff, gearbox fluid. Even your brake fluid should have been changed by now every 2years. |
