Lack of power after 2000 rpm

Hi All,

New to site so be gentle Smile

My wifes FL2 2011 2.2L is experiencing lack of power after 2000 rpm...

Checked all pipes to and from turbo...No leaks.

Checked air intake pull / vac all good.

Intercooler all clear and no leaks.

Fuel filter changed and is Gen part.

Before I check Turbo.....Any ideas.

Many thanks for any comments

Tony

More than likely the turbo variable geometry ring sticking.
From underneath the vehicle, disconnect the turbo actuator arm from the turbo DON'T LOOSE THE 'C' CLIP.
Once disconnected move the linkage attached to the turbo, up and down. It should move smoothly. If it is sticky or grabs, then there is carbon build up in the turbo. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Don’t try to move the electronic actuator itself, it will break! Just the linkage attached to the turbo itself.
