United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Santorini Black

It is done. I managed to get them separated.

Neighbour popped round this morning while
I was at work and sprayed some penetrating fluid on (I had messaged him to ask if he had any). So that sat for a few hours until I got home.

Lots of heating, scraping, gentle back and forward for the bolt moving a tiny amount. It was only when I managed to get the clip out that I was able to unscrew the hose, allowing me to then screw the new hose on.

Now just to get the right sodding discs and pads, not the ones that “fit 2006-2014 models”…. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎

Thanks Jules, that’s super helpful.

If the pipe needed cut, what’s the process of getting it all back together? Is that a garage job?

I was able to replace the broken brake pipes quite easily. The pipes are in sensible sections allowing easy replacement. Jules
