Hi peeps
Took my front bumper off yesterday to change the faulty horns and noticed that my washer bottle was just over half full. I thought it was weird because I had topped it up the day before and had not used the washers...

But yes, it was still filled to the top of the filler neck.

If I top it up any more the water will come out of the thin black tube that clips to the side of the filler neck, and if I blow in either the neck or the tube then water comes out of the other, so it's not blocked.
As I was blowing down the neck and catching the fluid from the black pipe in a bottle to check it was clear, I then could not pour that same amount back in again as the neck was full.

What causes an air lock inside of the bottle, what is actually inside the bottle and how do I get rid of the air to get more water inside as I should fit another couple of litres in there.


I just can't see it being designed to hold less fluid than the size of the bottle, unless I am missing something obvious?!

Any ideas?

Afraid I can't shed any light on the issue, but I do like the second picture in your post...
