In that case I'll not bother with the trim. Repainted at the weekend.

Way to go, will make masking out easier. Don't forget the four pieces of cardboard to keep radiator covered.

I took the bumper off to paint it, much easier than masking the front of the car. 👍 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Just received the trim from PowerfulUk... not the loveliest thing in the world (small but visible scratch in the plastic and no alcohol wipes included*) Sad

Before

and after (just offered up but not yet perma-fixed in place)

It will do.

Edited in the interests of fairness to add: Alcohol wipe found caught up in the cardboard packaging in which the trim was packed.

If it had been more like the chrome effect plastic that the original was previously I would have bought one but I don't see the benefit when it just looks the same as the silver I've painted mine now. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Mine wasn't / isn't chrome effect - it was / is pretty much the same matte silver as the plastic overlay.

My painting skills are such that getting my pig's ear of a paint job put right would likely cost more than the plastic overlay. Laughing
